THE CHALLENGE
A newly established food and beverage processing plant in Alabama was on the cusp of its grand opening when it encountered a significant hurdle: ensuring the safety of its workforce, especially in terms of fall protection. The majority of the workforce was new to using fall protection equipment and lacked the necessary training. There was an urgent need to not only provide the right equipment but also to ensure that employees were well-trained in its use. Additionally, finding fall protection harnesses that met the stringent safety standards of the food and beverage processing environment, while also accommodating the diverse sizes and needs of the workforce, was a critical concern.
