What do you do when you’ve optimized your machining to a point where there doesn't appear to be any room for improvement?

Some manufacturers are always pushing improvement. In lean manufacturing terms, they talk about “continuous improvement” and the mindset of optimization. For some companies like Tech Manufacturing, they thought they had optimized everything.
