ANDREA HOWARD: Hello and welcome to QUICK TIPS from MSC Industrial Supply. A show where we invite the community to share their expertise with us. This tip comes from Honeywell, who knows from experience that the best way to ensure that your team complies with eye protection standards is to provide comfortable safety eyewear. Let's take a look.
MARC KIRSCH: Hey, folks. Global MarCom leader for Honeywell Marc Kirsch here today to talk about ways to select comfortable eye protection. The key really is comfort. You want a worker to wear it all day long because the second they take off that eyewear, they're going to expose themselves to unnecessary risks. So you want features like extendable arms. You can see, you know, nice and easy to adjust to your face shape or even the ratcheting arms.
Right? You can tilt up that lens. Sometimes you even see a temple adjustment where you can tilt the lens forward or backward. Some of the other features that you want to look for are a comfortable brow guard. It has a dual feature, right? It protects from any debris coming down in your eyes, but also keeps a nice soft pad against your forehead, as well as soft nose pads make, you know, easier for a long day of use and even soft grip arms or adjustable arms, things that keep that secure around your face.
The next thing you want to look for are, does that eyewear offer the necessary lenses that you need? So when you look at that, right, is what color lenses, what tints do you need and also what coatings? Honeywell offers a variety of coatings, whether it's, you know, a hard coat, an anti-scratch, or even a a leading hydro shield and anti-fog coating.
