VIDEO: Introducing the RINGERS® R-840 Impact Glove

Ansell is dedicated to keeping workers protected by understanding their environments and the hazards they face in the workplace. To expand Ansell's portfolio to include solutions for crush and pinch injuries, Ansell acquired Ringers, a leading provider of best-in-class impact gloves. The vision behind the acquisition was to take Ansell's comfort glove liners and Ringers' impact protection and combine them. The result is the R-840.

The glove features Ringers signature TPR design, which provides low-profile ANSI level 1 protection against crush and pinch hazards. The palm is dipped in a proprietary nitrile coating that improves grip and durability. The thumb saddle area is reinforced to decrease wear and tear. In industries like warehousing, hand injury rates are high due to fast-paced hand movements and small, tight working spaces. This created the need for an ultra-light glove with impact protection.

Ryan Manchester, Sr. Manager, Global Accounts at Ansell: The world's largest e-commerce warehousing and logistics company approached Ansell to help address a very common injury, which is hand, finger and nail bed contusions and fractures. I think that the R-840 is going to address an unmet user need and create a new value-based product that will help our customers decrease injuries and increase productivity overall.

It was a tough project because most of the things are very new and then achieving the required level of efficiencies and the quality, because we were doing 100% inspection and we had committed to 100% quality.
