Hey there, do you know what happens with your gloves after you have used it and disposed it? Every year 100 billion disposable gloves are thrown away after having protected your hands in a variety of tasks and applications.

That's why SHOWA developed a technology that disrupts the current waste cycle of our gloves to make it better for our planet. Eco Best Technology® or EBT in short. Thanks to its unique composition, EBT gloves decompose within 1 to 5 years in active landfills where for non-EBT products this takes more than 100 years.

So how does it work? When gloves are disposed in biologically active landfills, microorganisms consume, metabolize and break down EBT materials into natural compounds. In this process, gases are released 7 to 9 times faster than normal waste, making it an effective source for biogas.

Luckily, more and more landfills now have biogas installations, meaning that our waste becomes our energy.
