About Kim Shacklett
Kim Shacklett is MSC Industrial Supply Co.’s Vice President of Customer Care. She has responsibility for the company’s Customer Care Operations inclusive of inbound and digital customer care, outbound telesales account management, special services sourcing, metalworking tech support, and field metalworking specialists teams. Kim and her teams' goal is ensuring a superior, personalized and highly differentiated experience by partnering with customers to problem solve.
With more than 20 years of metalworking experience, Kim previously served as Vice President-Metalworking Sales, responsible for annual revenue in excess of $1 billion.
Kim rose through the ranks of J&L Industrial Supply, which MSC acquired in 2006, and helped lead the acquisition integration. Kim grew a best-in-class telesales organization and implemented a successful contact management strategy which used technology to efficiently enable disaster recovery through effective sales tools and quality management. She has continued to apply technologies to enable her teams to grow and enhance the customer experience through omnichannel capabilities, while driving productivity and reducing costs. She also played an important leadership role in supporting MSC’s vending strategy and program. Its emergence has been a strategic solution for enabling customers to better manage their inventories through smart solutions.
Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Central Michigan University.
