Hi there! My name is Jack Zha, I have Recycling yards in Chicago and Indianapolis. I’m interested in buying your scrap tungsten carbide. We have a metal analyzer that can determine the exact chemical composition of your scrap and provide you with the best price possible. To get things started we would need to have some samples analyzed at our yard, and then provide you with the right price. My email cjackzh@gmail.com; my number 302-559-7832. If you happen to be in the general area of Chicago or Indianapolis, I can come and pick up the sample in person, to save you some trouble mailing it to me. Please let me know if you want to proceed from here.

Thank you for your time!

Jack

In a recent article on Better MRO, we talked to a customer who found a benefit when China steel tariffs were placed on tungsten carbide by finding an on-shore supplier.

If you're looking to make connections for buying and selling tungsten carbide, you can comment and connect right here.

We have 320 lbs of Malloy 3950 (94% tungsten, 1% iron, 5% nickel) to recycle (qty 4 of 80-lb blocks). I'm trying to get a decent price on it and finding that most recyclers are not really upfront or honest about about what the fair market value is. I've so far gotten offers ranging from $3-$10/lb but I suspect it's worth more. Can someone please tell me what price to expect, and/or make an offer if interested? We're located in the San Francisco Bay Area but could ship it for the right price. Thanks in advance!

Dear Carbide Buyers.

Allow me to offer you a cordial greeting.
I introduce myself, I am a tungsten carbide recycling company in Mexico, having the permits requested by the government for the collection and export of carbide scrap.
I currently collect from maquiladora factories in Baja California, Mexico, and I am looking for a commercial agreement and to work with a company that guarantees my purchase and keeps me updated on prices.
I can collect more than a ton per month, how much do you pay per pound? What quantity do you require to give your best price?

Refael

I have a few pounds of scrap carbide that's piling up and I wanted to figure out the best way to sell it.   Right now its about 10lbs and most of the scrap carbide is endmills, and a few drills & inserts.  I live on the east coast, (Raleigh N.C)  if anyone has any  recommendations on where I can sell it I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

-Tom

We are doing "spring cleaning" and have 120 pounds of tungsten carbide powder that was purchased from Kennemetal. we also have solid carbide scrap, looking to sell.

We also have carbon graphite blocks to sell.. one piece is about 6" diameter and 57" long. The other piece is 4" X 10" X 68" tall. Total weight of these 2 pieces around 350 - 400 pounds..

We probably have another 100 pounds + in solid graphite pieces. old crucibles, etc. One small can of flake graphite powder.  I heard carbon graphite is what EV Car batteries are made out of..

Ann J.

the carbide powder is in three (3) yellow containers 40 pounds each. 2.3 microns, 1.4 microns, 3.1 microns tungsten carbide powder. I believe these buckets have never been opened.

Brenda Arledge

I have a little bit of carbide that I'd like to turn in to recycle.

I have a few coffee cans in my garage full of carbide drill bits..or that's what it looks like...
