Have you ever used the ISO scale in determining your grade selection?
PMKNSH
P = Steel (Blue)
M = Stainless (Yellow)
K = Cast Iron (Red)
N = Non-ferrous (Green)
S = super Alloy's (Orange)
The numbers are 5 through 50.
5-15 are finishing grads
20 to 30 are Medium machining
35-50 are roughing grades
Grade Examples
KCK-15 would be for finishing in Cast Iron.
KCP-25 would be medium machining in Steels.
KCU-40 U means universal for most all materials and the 40 means heavy roughing
