Interrupted cut turning of cast aluminum

Hello, 

 What do you recommend for tooling for turning cast aluminum, interrupted cut? We repair wheels and the finish I am getting is sub par. Specifically what coatings, rake angles, and chip breaker style will give us the best finish?
