Recently on an episode of PBS Newshour, the 922 Airflow Meter is seen being used to measure the air flow of rooms holding COVID-19 patients just a few miles away from the Fluke Park campus at EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland, Wash.
EvergreenHealth is using the tool to ensure potentially harmful air is not flowing out of their COVID-19 rooms, also known as negative air flow. A third of the hospital beds at EvergreenHealth currently have negative air flow.
“There is always great pride knowing that whenever our customers face significant challenges, we are there for them and able to provide solutions that are making a difference here and around the world,” Luis Silva, Business Unit Manager, said.
Hospitals also use the tool to ensure contaminants are not going in or out of Intensive Care Unit rooms and to diagnose ventilation system problems. The 922 Airflow Meter is commonly used by technicians in the HVAC industry to diagnose ventilation problems and keep systems running at peak performance.
